WWW.AFRIKAANS.US launched in 2005 as an open learning space, with close to 6000 visits per month. Volunteers localize content to Japanese, Russian, Hebrew, etc. Come listed to recordings, from India, Japan, etc., of learner pronunciation to demonstrate effectiveness of instructional design of asynchronous acquisition of pronunciation.
