Would you like to know how I came to have arthritis in neck? I was the tender age of 7. Standing back I sized-up the situation. I felt proud as I just had floated over a fence made of wire about three feet high. However, I just had to go higher. So, now I tied a rope between two of the posts thus making the height to clear tall as I was. Slowly I started off, gradually increased my speed and leaped for the moon. I had a savaged awakening to reality. My neck met the rope, a perfect fit, and I was catapulted like a canon ball back to the earth.
Young as I was, I was able to recover, so up I got, wipe the dust off and carried on as if nothing had happened. I had no idea that decades later I would pay dearly for that mighty leap. In my leap for the moon I rashly lost the natural curve in my neck and developed straight neck or military neck leading to my problem, arthritis in the neck. That unfortunate event happened about 50 years ago.
When 30 years of age I visited a chiropractor and was told that I had whiplash, straight or military neck. I was told by my chiropractor that there was no cure but he could stop the straight neck from getting any worse. He told me I could die by the time I was 60. Upon turning 58 years old those words that had haunted me for the last 28 years of my life, reached a climax.
Recently, I began to have pain in my neck. Upon going to sleep I felt what seem to be needles protruding out of the back of my neck. I had to sleep on my back in a fixed position to get relief. I began doing neck exercises and that helped. In desperation I went back to the chiropractor. Upon taking x-rays he told me that I had developed spurs on the vertebrae of my neck and as a result arthritis had set in. He gave me a treatment and said that he could not “cure me” only stop the progression. Two treatments for me was enough to discern that they were not really helping. His plan was to give me two treatments per week for a month, then one treatment per week the second month and thereafter a treatment per month.
I looked on the Internet trying to find some miracle for straight neck. No cure was to be found. Yet, I did find two web sites that alluded to getting the curve back into the neck. I was awed by one of them. So, instead of going to the chiropractor two times a week for the first month, I invested in a neck straightener device for the cost of two visits to the chiropractor. By following directions and using this device everyday for a few minutes I was slowly but surely getting the curve back in my neck. However, more important than the curve in my neck was the relief I was getting from the neck pain.
Now, the pain I had was very severe. I walked around all day sighing. Sleepless nights was my lot. In fact, as mentioned earlier, I had to sleep in a certain position on my back. I could not sleep at all on either of my sides. After six months of using this device I would say my pain decreased from a 10 to a 3. I achieved complete relief from neck pain after a year’s time. I am still using the device 2 or 3 times a week to keep the neck pain from ever returning. If you have had whiplash, stiff neck, straight neck or military neck do yourself a favor and check out this neck straightener device. The benefits I have received is a reversing of my arthritis in the neck and a returning of the natural curve in the neck. Hooray, what a relief it is.
